Shopping and culture in Avignon
In Pernes les Fontaines, you are right in the heart of Provence surrounded by Mont Ventoux, Luberon and mountainside villages. But you also just a few kilometres from Avignon which is well worth the detour. The pearl of Vaucluse, a walk around Avignon is perfect for a family outing. Wander through the narrow streets of the old town and do a bit of shopping, then stop off at the Palais des Papes which offers audio-guided tours that the whole family will love.
